Alex Lauber has lived in Cumberland County since 2020. He grew up in Lake Arrowhead California. He graduated from Mountain High School. Alex's first experience with law enforcement was as an explorer cadet with the California Highway Patrol during high school. After graduating high school, he attended a corrections course and worked as a correctional officer for the Beverly Hills Police Dept in Calfornia, and the Arcadia Police Dept in California. When Alex moved to TN, he became a corrections officer with the Tennessee Department of Corrections and later served as a corrections officer with the Cumberland Co Sheriff's Office. Alex came to work at the Lake Tansi Police Department in 2021. Prior to coming to work at the Lake Tansi Police Department Alex recieved a certifcate in California Corrections Title 15, and high security clearance in California. Alex also recieved training from the Tennessee Department of Corrections academy. He has a certificate in taser, chemical weapon and baton. Since coming to work at the Lake Tansi Police Department, Alex has recieved Police Officer Standards and Training Commision required training for a law enforcement officer. This includes training in basic police operations, domestic violence, dealing with the mentally ill, emergency vehicle operations, and firearms training just to name a few. Alex's hobbies include fishing, coin collecting and wood craft. Alex states that he joined the department to serve the people and visitors in the Lake tansi Community so they can feel safe and protected. Alex has the potential with gained experience to become a great police officer. We are glad to have him in the department.
